Dennis Rollins' was been awarded the 2006 BBC Radio 3 Jazz Award in the Jazz Line Up 'Best Band' category. Dennis has also been awarded the 'best trombone' prize by The British Jazz Awards 2006 & 2007 as well 'Best Trombone' by the inaugural Ronnie Scott's Jazz Awards 2007. In addition Dennis was nominated in the Jazz Category in the Urban Music Awards in both 2006 & 2007. In 2006 Badbone & Co toured the UK extensively promoting new album Big Night Out! - Dennis' funkiest to date.

Dennis - hailed by Jazzwise magazine as 'the most exciting British trombonist for decades...' brings his unique and exciting approach to the trombone in a repertoire of groove-based, funky music with jazz overtones. With his excellent musicians, Dennis Rollins' Badbone & Co performs music that appeals to both dancers and listeners. From the blues to hip hop, funk to soul, the popularity of Badbone & Co just grows and grows. Last year's performance on the prestigious Jazz/World Stage at Glastonbury Music Festival cemented the band's reputation as 'one of the most popular fusion bands on the UK circuit'. Alongside Dennis' mighty trombone sound and electronics you can hear 'Empirical' star Jay Phelps on trumpet and flugelhorn, Johnny Heyes on guitar, Alex Bonfanti on electric bass, Chris Gulino on keys and Jack Pollitt on drums.

Badbone & Co has released two other critically acclaimed albums - Badbone and Make Your Move.

Dennis Rollins is an acclaimed musician, composer and educator, well-known on the British and international jazz scene, and celebrated for his versatility and unique approach to the underrated trombone. Born in Birmingham, UK in 1964 of Jamaican parents, Dennis cut his teeth at the age of 14 studying and performing with The Doncaster Youth Jazz Association. After years of concentrated study Dennis relocated to London and began playing with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and the legendary all-black jazz big band The Jazz Warriors. Over the years Dennis has established a reputation as an artist of excellence and has lent his talents to some of this country's and, indeed, the world's top jazz and pop personalities such as Courtney Pine, Baba Maal, Jamiroquai, US3, Brand New Heavies, Blur and is currently touring extensively with The Maceo Parker Band. Dennis is on the Board of Advisors of the British Trombone Society.
